Accepting clients (adults and children) who qualify for FNHA, IRS, ICBC, CVAP, MedaVie Blue Cross, GreenShield and more. Amanda holds a Masters degree in Counselling from the University of Victoria, a BA in psychology from McMaster University, as well as a certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia and has been in practice since 1994.
She is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (since 2001) and also has certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Child and Youth Anxiety through the Anxiety Disorders Association of British Columbia and training in EMDR (S.A.F.E). Amanda also completed the touch training program for Somatic Therapists in 2006 with Kathy Kain. Amanda is a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling Association, and Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association for Clinical Counsellors.
Along with trauma work, Amanda has extensive experience working with adults, children, groups and families using a variety of approaches. Amanda brings enthusiasm and a passion for healing to her work and uses a playful approach to learning.
In addition to her work and her family, Amanda loves to roller skate, camp, be outdoors, soak up the sun, play, dance and laugh.
