SE™ INTERNATIONAL PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Alisha Musicant

MSN, RN, SEP

I offer a client-centered approach that creatively honors the wisdom of the nervous system. My aim is to help you build resilience and somatic awareness, uncoupling traumatic memories from your present-time body response so that you feel more in choice, moment to moment. In sessions, we use dialogue, supportive touch, and exploration of emotions, memories, and movement in service of nervous system regulation. We work in a titrated way to create a safe container where you can transform stuck places and come back more fully to yourself.

I have been in private practice as a holistic healer since 2009. Besides training with several wonderful Somatic Experiencing faculty, I've also trained with Ray Castellino, founder of the Womb Surround work and the Ojai-based BEBA clinic. My background additionally includes training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Visionary Craniosacral Work, Lactation counseling, several massage modalities, Hatha Yoga, and mindfulness meditation. Besides a background in these holistic modalities, I am a registered nurse, and have worked primarily in the areas of perinatal nursing and community health. I am a Somatic Experiencing professional assistant and certified to provide sessions to SE students at the beginning and intermediate levels.

I work with adult clients of all backgrounds, ages, and stages of life. I particularly love working with individuals taking steps towards personal growth. I strive to provide an inclusive and welcoming therapeutic space towards individuals of any racial or ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual or religious background, or life experience background.

I offer in-person sessions in Santa Barbara and Ojai, as well as remote sessions.
