SE™ INTERNATIONAL PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Amy Ballard

MEd, LPC, SEP

I am a licensed therapist in both Arkansas (LPC) and Illinois (LCPC) and received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2003. I believe that somatic experiencing enables healing in a more holistic and transformational way than talk therapy alone. Through accessing feelings and sensations stored in our body, we have the power to restore ourselves to a more balanced and relaxed state, alleviate emotional pain and experience life more fully. Through integrating somatic experiencing into my practice, my aim is to support and empower you to increase your capacity to navigate difficult life events, overcome anxiety and heal from past trauma wounds—and ultimately to live the life that you want.
While I welcome and enjoy working with people from all walks of life, I specialize in working with adolescents or adults struggling with trauma and anxiety and the LGBTQIA+ community.
