SE TRAUMA INSTITUTE PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Amy Brown

SE™ Practitioner

After suffering from an event, sometimes it's not enough to describe 'what happened,' you need something more to  feel free from the residual pain.  You're wanting relief, and even more, wanting to feel comfortable in your own skin, alive, and connected.  I help you get to the source of patterns that block you. You can get what you need to change debilitating patterns.  Instead of reliving the past, you'll access your full vitality so you can live exceptionally well now.

I integrate a variety of approaches to meet your needs, including discussion, body-oriented modalities, mindfulness, and guided imagery. I have 15 years experience in spiritual counseling and extensive training in Zen Buddhist compassionate meditation, qigong (chi kung, energy work), art therapy, guided imagery, and Somatic Experiencing.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is especially helpful if you're suffering after overwhelming events.  SE helps to regulate your nervous system and relieve symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, sleep and eating issues, and syndromes like Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, migraines and IBS.  Fewer symptoms = more life-enhancing healthy energy.
