MA, LMFT

In the stressful, fast-paced world we live in, we can lose the intuitive connection to our bodies and even learn to ignore its cues. I pursued Somatic Experiencing in order to incorporate the body more actively in my work. This has opened up an avenue to deeper healing, since it can increase your knowledge of your own body and allow you to let your body intuitively guide you in your healing journey. If you have experienced a trauma, it can help you to release residual effects of the trauma that are stored in the body more effectively than talk therapy alone.

In a session, I use my own intuition and nervous system as a guide to tailor each session to my clients. I blend Somatic Experiencing with other therapeutic modalities such as Positive Psychology and parts work. I also have certification in working with Highly Sensitive People. I work with adults, couples, and teens (12+). Most of the teens I work with are Highly Sensitive. I am inclusive to working with any race, gender, and sexual orientation. As a biracial individual, I also have a personal understanding of working with biracial clients.
