SE™ INTERNATIONAL PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Becky Carroll

Licensed Psychologist (licensed in MA, MD, DC)

While I am not accepting new ongoing client work, I am prioritizing the support of budding new SEPs!

I specialize in offering PERSONAL and CONSULTATION Sessions at ALL LEVELS of SE Training. Outside of actual trainings, I have a fee range, knowing that SE students are in vastly different economic situations, depending on practice focus, local economies and level of dominance of insurance reimbursement limits, historical economic advantage or disadvantage, and other economic influences.

In addition, I frequently provide the Beginning Review Sessions for those who have done an independent Beg-1 before joining a training cohort at Beg-2.

I find the required personal and consultation sessions required for SE students are invaluable for learning at a deeper level and building confidence that you can FEEL.

Self-care for therapists and other healthcare practitioners is critically important. You may have gotten into your profession because you were already incredibly perceptive and intuitive about people’s feelings and their states of health and dis-ease. Maybe your own spiritual and health crises prompted a journey towards deeper healing that led to the work you do now.

For several years, I have specialized in offering professional caregivers their own place of healing and support that goes beyond traditional-all-talk therapy and consultation. You need to bring a bigger and more coherent container to your work. Sensing that I "get" you, that we are collaborators meeting your concerns and goals is imperative.

I have found Somatic Experiencing to be a powerful tool in processing "issues in the tissues" in a way that emphasizes finding one's internal resources, gentle pacing, and facilitation of the body-mind's natural ability to heal.

* The appropriate inclusion of SE Touch work can facilitate "touching into" experiences and "feeling held" in ways deeper than words could ever convey.

* Trauma First Aide is a way of tapping into the natural resilience of the body-mind soon after a traumatic event to prevent deeper posttraumatic stress reactions from taking root.

* SE is also a natural partner to mindfulness practices, stress management techniques, and developing a "felt" sense of setting clearer and more intentional interpersonal boundaries.

In my clinical work I frequently incorporated other experiential methods, such as mindfulness and  practices based on polyvagal theory, Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy, and binaural beat and other audio technology, such as Hemi-Sync and Monroe Sound Science developed by The Monroe Institute. Earlier in my practice, I incorporated EMDR and Thought Field Therapy.

Over the years, I maintained a general practice, with specialties in complex, acute, and developmental trauma, loss, LGBTQIA clients, BIPOC and AAPI clients, and spiritual emergence/transpersonal experiences. I worked with the range from single incident traumas to pervasive developmental trauma that results in profound dissociation, relational rupture, breakdown in health, and inability to muster healthy boundaries and self-care.

I love my work as a psychotherapist and consultant and am continually amazed and excited to watch the resiliency of the human spirit and the healing and growth that can occur from the work that clients and I do together. I am interactive in sessions and believe both therapy and SE for-training-credit personal and consultation sessions are most effective when we collaborate to ensure the best fit for you and your goals.

* I am qualified to provide the Beginning I DVD Review, and Personal Sessions and Individual Consultations to SE students at ALL levels.
