Since 2003 I have worked as a social worker in various capacities including community development, community corrections, hospital social work and discharge planning, and doing mental crisis interventions alongside the police. My primary role has been in education working with children, youth, and families doing counselling, groups work, crisis intervention, and grief and trauma response.
In my private practice I work with children, youth, and adults attuning to who I am with and their unique needs. I work with somatic practices which also include trauma informed yoga practices such as breath work, mindfulness, gentle movement, restorative resting poses, and yoga nidra (sleep) where appropriate. It is an honour to do this work and witness people move toward resilience, health, and inner and outer resources.
