I am a Sydney based clinical psychotherapist and supervisor with a special interest in attachment and developmental trauma. I work systemically with relational issues with individuals, couples and families, in both pre and post separation spaces.
We know that with trauma, the body holds the score. My approach is an integrative trauma sensitive one that privileges the quality of our relational connection in our collaborative endeavour to draw on the wisdom of the body to notice, to stabilise and resource, to re-pattern and process what it needs to in its intrinsic desire to heal and recover.
I have long standing experience in working with a broad range of clinical presentations including abuse and violence. This includes being part of the team of clinicians working with victim survivors under the auspices of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse;. I continue to be actively engaged in working with individuals who use violence and individuals who have had to endure in both individual and group settings in my capacity as front line clinician and/or as supervisor. I know from firsthand experience that healing and recovery are always possible.
My professional experience in academia side has included being part of working committees on academic quality control, and course accreditation for training programs at a Masters level. I sat on a Research Ethics Committee on PhD proposals into the field of relationship and systemic issues for many years.
I am a passionate life long learner and hold a Masters in Couple and Family Therapy (UNSW), a Masters in Applied Psychotherapy and Counselling, and a Bachelors degree in Arts/Law (UK). I have various other post-graduate qualifications including in Clinical Supervision, in Mens’ Behavioural Change Individual and Group Work Interventions, and is post graduate qualifications in various complex trauma orientations.
I am in private practice @ Cammeray, and consult to not-for profit organizations, and to tertiary Masters training organisations. I offer in person as well as online consultations. For more please see www.charmainebradley.com
