Chris Burner, LCSW, MDIV, SEP

Chris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in the Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. Chris specializes in Somatic Experiencing (SE), providing assistance and support to individuals who have experienced various types of trauma and crises. Chris is also trained to provide Somatic and Attachment-focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR; NARM; Healing Touch & Healing Intentional Touch; enhanced Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Motivational Interviewing (MI); and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Chris is committed to social justice and equality, and specializes in working closely with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) community. He holds two Masters degrees: a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters of Divinity (MDIV) from Duke University.
