I am a registered Social Worker with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW) and have been a social worker for 20 years. Although born on the west coast, Nova Scotia, Canada is where I call home. I have spent most of my career working in Mental Health with couples, individuals, and groups of all ages. I have had the privilege of serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces for 15 years, working in a First Nations community for the last two, and private practice working with marginalized populations in building stronger communities. I have focused my specialty in working with trauma, and approach all my clinical work through a trauma informed, attachment based and neurobiological lens. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based therapies including EMDR, PE, CPT, ART, EAP, DBT, CBT and of course, SE. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoying local culture through the many forms of art (theatre, music, museums, art), and grounding myself in nature. You will likely find me on the water in a kayak, or hiking a beautiful trail searching for a waterfall.
