I have always been innately curious about people, their stories and the multitude of ways those experiences are lived and expressed - whether through story telling, artistic, emotional, physical or spiritual expression.
I have undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Visual Art Education, and a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. My Major Research Project was “A Neuroscientific Argument for Holistic Psychotherapy” and examined mental, physical and spiritual perspectives and experiences of health from the fields of spiritual neurology, neuroplasticity and cellular memory. I completed graduate level coursework in Grief and Loss, Diversity and Culture, Indigenous Approaches to Helping and Healing, Communication in Interpersonal Relationships, Child and Adolescent Development and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I have additional training in Somatic EMDR, Nature Based Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Psychology/Parenting. I have participated for many years with Animal Assisted Therapy.
I help people experience embodied freedom and authenticity in whatever physical body or identity they inhabit. I often work with people with invisible and episodic disability and chronic complex health issues such as hEDS, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
