Practice

CClark Counseling

In my work with individuals, my approach is to help individuals heal from the effects of trauma from a mind, body, spiritual [holistic] perspective based on the person's identified goals and needs. My practice includes helping folks who are dealing with depression, anxiety, self-harming behaviors, relationship issues that include addressing early attachment issues, and family dynamics that are causing conflict in present-day relationships as well as the trauma experienced as a result of physical, sexual and emotional/psychological abuse and neglect. People who come in for services are in the driver's seat in learning to access the mind/body and personal spiritual components of the internal self and my role is to provide guidance as well as create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for clients to work in. Practicing the aspects of Somatic Experiencing is encouraged and expected between sessions as a way to integrate holistically all aspects of the person.
