Dovid Meshchaninov

I am an integrative mind-body psychotherapist and combine talk therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Focused EMDR, and touch techniques (Craniosacral Therapy) to help my clients achieve optimal healing and breakthrough.

As a psychotherapist, I explore with my clients many areas of the human condition and help them gain perspective, insight, and breakthrough. Some of these areas include difficulty with addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, self esteem, vulnerability, and relationships. I take a deep and compassionate approach with each client and trust their inner wisdom and the pacing that’s right for them.

As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I am also keenly aware of the role of the nervous system in emotional healing and trauma resolution. When this level isn’t addressed, clients may feel that they have explained everything that they went through, but didn't end up feeling lighter or having fewer symptoms. When the nervous system is taken into account, clients can actually release the trauma and painful emotions and finally begin to feel grounded and safe in their bodies. Clients can also begin healing from chronic symptoms and syndromes and true happiness moves within reach.

As a Craniosacral Therapist, I am also grateful for the knowledge of how to integrate touch techniques into my work. Trauma and emotional challenges cause people to instinctively disassociate from their bodies and emotions. Touch work is very helpful for helping clients heal this pattern of disassociation. It is also very helpful for balancing the nervous system and releasing deep layers of tension and emotion.

Overall, I am a deeply compassionate therapist and feel honored to help my clients overcome their most vulnerable struggles and challenges each day. I would be honored to help you on your healing journey as well.
