I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy and have a specialization in posttraumatic stress disorder, childhood trauma, alcoholism/substance abuse, eating disorders, & sexual addiction. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner(SEP) who is also trained in Internal Family Systems, EMDR (Levels 1, 2 & PostAdvanced), DMNS, Imago Therapy, and the Trauma Resiliency Model. I integrate Mindfulness (MBSR) and meditation methods in individual, couples and group work in my work with adolescents and adults. Group treatment includes an Attachment/Trauma group and The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ (Dr. Brené Brown's Shame Resiliency Model)groups. I utilize a mind/body holistic approach. I do a lot of work with anxiety, addiction/compulsion, LGBTQIA issues, men/women in transition, sexuality/sex therapy, grief/loss, separation/divorce. My trauma work includes assisting individuals in developing their own unique healthy sexuality as an important aspect of trauma healing and recovery. For many years, I have assisted nationally in the Somatic Experiencing Trauma trainings and am a session provider and consultant through the advanced levels as well as a group session provider for Beginning level students for the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. I completed Kathy Kain's Touch Training for Psychotherapists and have assisted her in those trainings in NYC. I work a lot with human service professionals and also provide training and consultation for others in the helping professions.
