SE™ INTERNATIONAL PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Elizabeth Sim

Registered Social Worker

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice. I am also authorized to perform restricted activities as a social worker in Alberta. Throughout my social work journey, I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings, including correctional centers, outpatient mental health clinics, community crisis, and inpatient psychiatry. I strive to create an inclusive therapy environment and I identify as a LGBTQ2SIA+ allied therapist. I practice from a non-judgmental and empathetic counselling framework in which all of us have the capacity to change and grow, no matter our background or past trauma. I have learned a great deal from the individuals I work with, and I am always honored to join alongside them as they heal. I have seen how providing a safe and supportive therapeutic environment can help individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and grief feel empowered and recognize the strength within them to heal. I recently obtained my Somatic Experiencing Practitioner credential and I look forward to continue to utilize SE with my clients. I also utilize EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy in my practice.
