In my own journey and in my professional work, I have found Somatic Experiencing to be a transformational approach to exploring the fullness of one's experience. From here, there is freedom to re-access agency and vitality and not just operate from a place of survival.
I have worked with people with the spectrum of mental health challenges, from substance use struggles, eating disorders, experiences of psychosis, and all manner of adverse childhood experiences. In every case, I have found that developing a language for the body's experience has created more space, which is foundational to healing and recovery.
In addition to doing standalone Somatic Experiencing work, I integrate SE into Internal Family Systems (IFS), another mind/body oriented approach to therapy.
I am currently practicing virtually and can work with anyone residing in California.
