Jan Bergstrom LMHC, PC

Fifteen years ago, I started working with Pia Mellody in Wickenburg, Arizona. I completed her training program and have recently reviewed the courses again by being an assistant. I have been proficient in her Post Induction Trauma Treatment Model for the last twelve years. I also use her "Speaking and Listening Boundary Methodology" working with Couples. I also studied and worked with Terry Real of the Relational Life Institute, Arlington, MA. The Institute is dedicated to providing men and women, the insight and the tools to recover the state of wholeness and connectedness in their significant partner relationship as well as friendships.

I specialize in leading workshops in my private practice for individuals with family of origin trauma using Pia Mellody's Post Induction Treatment Method. This model investigates the origins of adult dysfunctional behaviors through the use of Inner Child work and Feelings Reduction. I encourage other therapists learning this model to "sit in" on my Healing Our Core Issues workshops to deepen their understanding of her trauma treatment model.

I now include SE techniques in my private practice as well as my workshops. Combined with all my experience and now integrating the SE treatment model, my clients experience a balanced approach to growth and healing. I have been a therapist in private practice for twenty three years working with individuals and couples. I hold a licensed masters degree in counseling psychology from Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA. I enjoy my work and bring my years of experience and expertise to all my clients. I am blessed with two sons and a husband and am committed to living a "relational" life.
