Jeanna Gomez is a Trauma and Relational Therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and a Bodywork and Somatic Education (BASE) Practitioner who offers private counseling to individuals, couples, and groups.  One of her main resources in her work with clients is Pia Mellody’s PIT therapy model to heal developmental trauma, relational trauma, codependence, anxiety disorders and addictions.  Jeanna is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), a certified EMDR therapist and certified in Brainspotting and utilizes these trauma therapy models with clients who are experiencing shock trauma, including developmental trauma.   Jeanna has also incorporated addtional somatic, body centered trauma therapies such as Body Work and Somatic Education (BASE) and Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP) into the healing process.

For those SE students seeking to meet their SE training requirements:  Jeanna is the Lead Assistant for SE Trainings in Houston and St. Louis.  She is approved to provide Personal and Consultation sessions at all levels Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced.  She also offers group case consultations at both Beginning and Intermediate level.

 

She is an Assistant for SE trainings and is approved to provide personal sessions for SE students at the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Level. She is also approved to provide Individual Case Consults for students at the Beginning level.

She conducts seminars and presentations on various subjects and has a monthly informational blog called “Psych Topics”. Jeanna works under the premise that good clinical work is necessary to assist clients in addressing their concerns, identifying their options and establishing solutions. She understand that it takes increased skills training to provide high-level treatment and feels it is necessary to always increase her knowledge in the counseling field in order to assist clients in their healing process.
