I'm Jen, Therapeutic Practitioner
Over the last sixteen years, I’ve found my way through overwhelming depression, recovered from an eating disorder, worked to heal from past trauma, walked friends and family into death, navigated my own divorce, and redefined my beliefs about the divine.
It was through those challenges that I learned the important role the body plays in healing and growth. Since that time, I’ve dedicated myself to my own growth through body-centered therapies, which ultimately led me to help others with their own experiences.
My journey has included formal education in a variety of modalities. I studied at the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Columbia University, the first Ivy League graduate program dedicated to merging spirituality and evidence-based research within the context of clinical psychology. I attended a two-year certification program in Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, a body-centered, somatic psychotherapy rooted in core principles of mindfulness. I became a Somatic Experiencing professional through a three-year training program centered on a rich theoretical framework for understanding and addressing trauma physiology.
In addition to these somatic therapies, I also completed certifications in nervous system regulation, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), breath work, and yoga, as well as a two-year Healing Shame Practitioner certification at the Center for Healing Shame in Berkeley, California.
My immersion in these various modalities has given me a breadth of experience to support others on their own different personal healing journeys. I have accumulated hundreds of hours of supervision and mentorship to develop and deepen my skills, and since 2018 have worked in private practice with clients across the country and around the world. I also provide integration care for patients undergoing ketamine infusions at Kairos Restorative Medicine, a neuroscience-based clinic that offers innovative therapies to patients suffering from persistent pain and mental health struggles.
No one technique will resonate with everyone. That’s why I offer a combination of these modalities – and many others – to help you find a path to healing that’s unique to you and your experiences.
