Integrative Relational Somatic Therapist - Co-Regulating Transforming Touch Bodywork for Trauma - Registered Psychotherapist (RP)

Reclaim your resiliency.
Feel better in your body. Feel more alive and present.

Everyone experiences emotional pain and may feel anxious or depressed at different times in life. During these times, it is comforting to know that someone is there to listen and hold your body, mind and heart with care, kindness and sensitivity. Deciding to work with a psychotherapist and somatic practitioner is a courageous step towards understanding yourself and to heal what may be troubling you. I will see you, perhaps in ways that you've never been seen, and we will make sense of your patterns and struggles, and help you work through the layers of your life to see the beauty that exists within you.

As a relational, somatic trauma therapist, I will help you feel in to your relational, emotional and physiological patterns - your defensive body holding patterns, and the sensations you experience in your body, within your relationships and in social situations. We will make sense of and feel difficult feelings and body sensations such as anxiety, anger, or sadness, that might otherwise isolate or overwhelm you, so you can feel more resilient in your life.

With compassionate curiosity, we will focus on your experience of life - how it feels in your body, mind and heart. By opening yourself to new awareness of your body and your experience of life - you will begin to heal and dissolve long-held patterns in the body, understand yourself more clearly, deepen your relationships with others, and experience more consistent feelings of well-being in your body, mind, heart and life.

Somatic Healing and Somatic Parts Work is an opportunity to build nervous system capacity to feel emotions, feelings and sensations held in the body, that may be effecting your life now. Create a new dialogue of understanding and healing in your body. Deeply know what is happening in your body - and what it and you - need.

I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma Practitioner, Somatic Movement Teacher & Therapist, Integrative Relational Somatic Trauma Therapist, Attachment Therapist, Somatic Parts Work Therapist, Yoga Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (RP) - I love to include movement and stillness into my work and find ways to incorporate the principles of Transforming Touch, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Body-Mind Centering, NeuroAffective Touch, Integenerational Family Trauma Healing, Continuum Movement Inquiry, Feldenkrais Practitioner-in-Training, Open Floor Movement and Pre & Peri Natal Psychology, TIST Parts Work, Somatic Trauma Imprints, The Safe & Sound Protocol, along with SE.

The focus of my work is helping individuals -  adults and children - and couples develop more capacity for authentic, healthy connection - with themselves and with each other. I work with those who experience anxiety, depression, chronic stress, pain & health concerns (such as chronic illness, pain, fibromyalgia & fatigue), disordered eating / eating disorders, addiction, divorce, relational concerns, emotional neglect, as well as how emotional trauma may be effecting you.

My somatic practice includes a combination of bodywork on a table work, bodywork, parts work and some talking - supporting you be in your body to gently soften stress and trauma imprints, allowing your nervous system to come in to regulation with more regularity. Slowly and softly, I will help you understand how your body and your nervous system works when stuck in a chronic stress response - allowing the space and time it takes to unwind nervous system patterns and feel better in your life.

Touch is our first language, and an important part of healing. It is the first sense to develop in the embryo, and all other senses are derived from it. The skin can be thought of as the outer layer of the brain. Throughout our lives, the tactile system will remain a potent form of communication and has immense potential for healing as well as harm.

Bringing a compassionate presence to the body is an important part of healing. It helps us address the neural numbing, muscular bracing, and autonomic disorganization that are physiological by-products of grief, shame, anger, and fear.

This somatic healing work is offered both in-person and online. This work brings together and integrates traditional therapy with bodywork to create something new - a deep somatic healing process - time and space to heal deeply held conditioned and defensive patterns that we may have held since early childhood - and an opportunity to allow your energy to flow more freely and for you to show up as the being that you are in the world.

Get in touch with the gifts of inhabiting your body – feel more alive, resilient and grounded - along with inviting in feelings of safety, clarity and support.

Please feel free to get in touch to ask any questions you have about working together.

I look forward to being with you.
