Trauma literally reshapes both the brain and the body.  Whenever we are chronically stressed or when we face an overwhelming crisis in a life event, all our body systems are affected.  This can result in symptoms of alarming anxiety, insomnia, poor digestion, chronic pain, irritability and poor concentration.  It affects not only ourselves but those around us and radiates into every part of life.

There is a new way of understanding yourself to make life more vibrant, balanced and healthy and to find relief from intolerable feelings. Treatment plans are individualized to promote empowerment, recovery and wellness. Together we examine perception and memory as it interfaces with body sensation, images, behaviour, emotion and cognition in a safe, compassionate and accepting counselling relationship.   New understanding leads to emotional balance and stability and helps clients face life’s challenges with greater resilience.

Equine Sessions:  My adult life has been spent in the company and care of horses, as breeder, trainer and rider. Now, I offer my 50 years of expertise to those who have a desire to deepen the relationship with their equine partner.  I enlist my somatic holistic knowledge for meaningful explorations and interaction. The horse's needs and motivations are respected and through this awareness, the horse-human bond can deepen. I am fully licensed and insured for ground work.
