Linda Chrisman

SE™ Practitioner

I have over 35 years of experience as a practitioner, teacher and writer in the field of somatics. Besides being a practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, I also practice Rosen Method bodywork and teach Continuum Movement. In addition, my approach is informed by Bodynamics therapy and attachment theory. A founding associate of the former Health Medicine Institute, I work in close association with doctors and other health care professionals to help people recover from chronic pain, illness, or symptoms of traumatic stress. I have been adjunct faculty at JFK University and Sofia University and have contributed articles to Being Bodies: Buddhist Women on the Paradox of Embodiment, the Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine, and Integrating Complementary Medicine into Health Systems. I have an abiding commitment to spiritual growth and have been a student of the Diamond Approach for the past 20 years. I am approved to give personal SE sessions and individual consultation for all levels of training. I also offer sessions by phone and Skype.
