SE INTERNATIONAL PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Linda Chrisman

Somatic Practitioner

I have over 40 years of experience as a practitioner, teacher and writer in the field of somatics. Besides being a practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, I am also a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner and certified in the attachment work of DARe. In addition, my approach is informed by Bodynamics therapy, harm reduction principles and the movement inquiry of Continuum. For the past 13 years I have been associated with the Faithful Fools in San Francisco, accompanying people who are unhoused and who are victims of systemic and racial trauma. As a founding associate of the former Health Medicine Institute, I have experience working in close association with doctors and other health care professionals to help people recover from chronic pain, illness, or symptoms of traumatic stress. In past years, I was adjunct faculty at JFK University and Sofia University and contributed articles to Being Bodies: Buddhist Women on the Paradox of Embodiment, the Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine, and Integrating Complementary Medicine into Health Systems. I have an abiding commitment to spiritual growth and have been a student of the Diamond Approach for over 25 years. Approved to give personal SE sessions and individual consultation for all levels of the SE training, I also offer sessions by phone and Zoom
