Elizabeth Perry

Elizabeth Perry, PhD, MA, SEP, RYT

Dr. Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. as well as a Master's Degree in Somatic Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her expertise lies in the realm of addiction recovery, imparting nonviolent communication skills, and facilitating trauma healing. She is adept at resolving a wide spectrum of trauma, including developmental trauma, shock trauma, and complex post traumatic stress.

In addition to this, she is proficient in nervous system regulation, connection parenting, family bonding, and fostering secure attachments. For over five years, she spearheaded the trauma healing and yoga therapy program at Sober College (a treatment center specializing in addiction recovery) before transitioning into private practice. She is trained in numerous modalities including NeuroAffective Touch (NAT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM).

As a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), she completed a comprehensive three-year training program at The Trauma Institute. Currently, she volunteers her time and expertise as an assistant at the same institute. She also serves as a session provider for beginning level SE students.

Dr. Elizabeth offers personalized, one-on-one sessions dedicated to healing trauma. You are invited to arrange your face-to-face session with her in the serene and picturesque setting of Santa Monica. While virtual sessions are available, she highly recommends you experience the power of transformative in-person meetings.

Dr. Elizabeth has another niche aside from individual trauma healing sessions. She is the visionary founder and director of Marriage Doctors, where she organizes and leads private, intensive holistic retreats at her retreat center near the beach in Santa Monica, CA. She is fervently passionate about guiding you and your partner on your path to healing your relationship.

Occasionally, Dr. Elizabeth hosts a variety of other retreats and workshops. A few topics that have been focused on in the past include: Navigating the Dynamics of Narcissism, Trauma Informed Parenting, and Healing Childhood Wounds in Relationships.

In her personal life, Dr. Elizabeth is a former dancer turned yogi, who relishes outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding. As a mother to two sons, whom she fondly refers to as her suns, she considers them her greatest teachers.
