Michelle Warren

Michelle is a Trauma-Informed practitioner whose lived experience with the sacred journey of grief helps her to consciously navigate her practice. For two decades, she has taken an integrative approach, blending her expertise and intimate knowledge of both the psychological and somatic into her work. She guides people toward building closer relationships with the body and it's unique stories, holding patterns, and releases from within. As a holistic practitioner, Michelle offers a unique understanding of how the physiology of movement works in balance with the power of stillness. Her approach involves supporting and nurturing her clients' nervous systems by working with the meridians and myofascial networks of their anatomy and emotional imprints. Michelle's way of distilling the complexities between psyche and soma opens up space for creating new patterns of long-lasting healing—a practice she calls "somalchemy."

Michelle co-founded Somalchemy in 2021, offering bodywork, grief support circles, and healing sessions for the community. Locally, Michelle serves as one of the leading providers of gentle somatic and Yin yoga and works in a collaborative clinic of healers at Milwaukee Community Acupuncture. She is also an ancillary provider of integrative recovery services for neighbors in Milwaukee County’s Comprehensive Community Services program.

The modalities and philosophies Michelle may incorporate include: Thai Bodywork, Myofascial Release™, The Tao of Trauma, Gentle Somatic Yoga, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory and Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy.
