Moria Collett, LMFT, SEP

SE™ Practitioner

In my 20 years as a minister, I did a lot of counseling. One of the things I learned is that when you want change, it is best to work with the mind, body and spirit. This idea was reinforced as I went through school, obtaining a master’s degree in Holistic Psychology. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I learned the importance of stabilizing your system before proceeding with any other work. When working with you my first steps are about creating a safe environment, acceptance, understanding and giving you tools to help you stabilize your system. I have taken touch training with Kathy Kain and feel comfortable working with touch or without.
Some other skills I bring are my 25 years as a clinical hypnotherapist, a practice and tradition of mindfulness, and a practice in Chi Gong--a gentle form of exercise that stabilizes and strengthens the body and teaches it how to return to its natural healing state. Everybody has their own unique story and their own unique way of healing. I will work with you to help you find yours. While I do not take insurance, I can provide a bill for your out-of-network coverage. For more information, visit my website:
