Patti Elledge

SEP, Group/Individual Case Consults, Past DARe Faculty, Somatic Mentor

Patti has specialized in therapeutic application of neuroscience for more than 40 years. She has a broad clinical background in developmental traumas and worked directly with babies, children and families for more than 25 years prior to her SE training in the late 90s. She specializes in interpersonal, social/emotional, language/cognition and sensory processing disorders, as well as early attachment disruptions. Her blending of a variety of somatic and body-mind techniques helps to treat and resolve over-coupled elements of the fight-flight-freeze that become so seemingly intractable with the essence of loving/bonding and "belonging." By accessing all parts of the nervous system and moving out of stuck, frozen or fear based patterns we can return to healthy self- and co-regulatory functioning. This return to regulation leads us to greater sense of self, ease in relating to others, creativity, expression in the world and eventually toward our own spiritual natures. Patti has studied directly with and assisted Drs. Peter Levine, Raja Selvam and Diane Poole Heller and other senior SE faculty. She holds Trauma Informed Touch Certification from Kathy Kain's 2 year training as well.
Patti is a Primary/Lead Teaching Assistant for SETi trainings through the 3 years, and has participated in numerous volunteer outreach projects, including Raja Selvam's ISP training in India and post-Katrina/Rita storms in New Orleans with the Trauma Outreach Project. She has a private practice in Asheville, NC where she also mentors professionals new to neurobiology, trauma healing and attachment.  Patti teaches independently in the field of trauma healing and was part of Diane Poole Heller's Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning Experience Faculty (DARe) for 9 years.  She is an SEI Approved Provider for individual sessions, case consultations and Group Consults through the 3 year training!  Please see her website for more information.
