I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for 35 years and as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner for 15 years. I am passionate about Somatic Experiencing and it’s efficacy in healing trauma, emotional wounds and chronic stress. I very much enjoy my work. I want to help people with healing, and in so doing help them to live more joyful and meaningful lives. As an SEP and psychotherapist, I pay attention to the whole self with a focus on depth work. Deep listening is important to me in my practice. I work with emotional wounds that are often at the core of issues that clients bring to therapy, as well as with healing trauma, including religious trauma. I have found that when trauma and emotional wounds can be addressed in a safe and supportive environment, healing can take place. I work with adults of all life stages, with adolescents, children, with individuals, families and groups.
I am approved to provide personal sessions at the Beginning and Intermediate levels for participants in the SE training program, and I have been assisting with SE trainings for several years, something I very much enjoy. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Marriage and Family Therapist and I have completed training in Integral Somatic Psychology with senior SE faculty Raja Selvam.
