Katie Addicott

Katie Addicott brings over 20 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner to her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) practice. She spent the first ten years of her clinical work in primary care settings working with marginalized populations living with substance use disorders and complex trauma. Since 2011, she has specialized her clinical practice in palliative care, working with both adult and pediatric populations. Katie completed her certification as an SEP in 2023 and, in addition to incorporating Somatic Experiencing (SE) in her clinical practice in the hospital, Katie has a private practice where she provides SE specializing in working with clients who are living with life-threatening illnesses, experiencing complex grief, and medical uncertainty. Katie also holds a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies and has completed the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) training for MDMA assisted psychotherapy. She is also available to provide SE support for those who are looking to integrate psychedelic experiences, especially for clients nearing the end of life.
