I work with teens to navigate the challenges of establishing an identity and coming into the world at this difficult moment. I provide an individualized approach based on each teen’s needs and developmental level. I work to create a safe and non-judgmental space where things can be said that have not yet been voiced.
I view the teenage years as a rich and exciting time of diverse identity explorations and explosive creativity. My approach works to harness this energy in order to develop an authentic and robust identity that works in the world without being a sell-out. Additionally, many teens experience high levels of anxiety, disconnection, and low self esteem. My somatic approach helps to increase embodiment and emotional connection and to de-condition states of anxiety and disconnection.
I provide parents with a quick weekly check-in, which entails an overview of how treatment is progressing without divulging specific content that the teen wishes to remain confidential.
