Hello! If you’re reading this, it probably means you’re ready to feel different. You might be unsure about whether or not therapy is right for you, or what you specifically want to be better.

I get it. All of the “unknowns” of therapy can seem scary. However, feeling down, depressed, and anxious is harder. I’m here to help with that.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I certainly cannot promise that I have all of the answers, but I can promise that I will help you find the best answer for you. I believe that you already know what’s right for you — you need a safe space to discover what that is.

I have experience working as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with many different kinds of women experiencing depression, anxiety, acute stress, the effects of complex trauma, food and body issues, or just “I’m having a hard time handling life right now.”

In my own personal journey with a panic disorder, I found Somatic Experiencing and knew immediately that I had to learn more to help others find the same healing that I have. Somatic Experiencing is a body centered approach that helps trauma get “unstuck” by gently guiding people to tolerate difficult body sensations and emotions in order to address and treat the root cause of trauma. I love being with clients while they uncover all that their bodies have done to protect them and how much they can overcome by allowing survival responses to come through. This is such a fun modality and if you like to geek out about the brain and nervous system, Somatic Experiencing is for you!

I am also trained in EMDR, a type of treatment that helps people really heal from their difficult experiences to feel more calm, confident, and present. EMDR helps the person understand how their past has influenced how they think about themselves, and to reshape that into something that serves them instead of hurts them. One of the beautiful parts of this modality is that it incorporates the body to help each person feel fully aligned and integrated. I love using this modality as an aid to Somatic Experiencing.

Finally, I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I personally started my Intuitive Eating journey about a year ago and have learned so much about myself in the process. I felt like I needed to learn more to be able to help my clients practice the same principles that I have found to be so transformative. If you’re ready to reject diet culture, silence your inner food judge, explore body neutrality, find food freedom, respect your body with gentle movement, and nourish your body with gentle nutrition, then I’m your lady! Intuitive Eating is perfect for those who are ready to jump of the diet train for good or have some level of disordered eating. Intuitive Eating is not, however, a good intervention for those with an active eating disorder.
