Supraja Vijay, MA, AMFT, SEP

Somatic Psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP)

With a warm and compassionate approach, I offer a nurturing space for individuals navigating the ebb and flow of life- whether it's transitions, anxiety, trauma, or uncertainty.

Have you ever noticed a tightening in your chest or a knot in your stomach during moments of stress or overthinking? Or perhaps a sense of numbness or disconnection? These sensations are your body’s way of speaking.

I believe deeply in the mind-body connection. Our bodies hold emotions, memories, and unresolved trauma, which is why true healing involves working with both. I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #153278 under the clinical supervision of Dr. Melanie Argo, SEP, Psy26478 and Jeffrey Gianelli LCSW #88604).

I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, and relational challenges, using a holistic, body-based approach to healing. I offer virtual sessions throughout California.

My work is grounded in guiding you through your body’s natural stress responses- fight, flight, freeze, shut down, or fawn, so you can reconnect with your innate capacity to regulate, heal, and thrive. I believe that everybody holds wisdom and knows how to heal when given the right support.

Life brings a wide range of emotions - grief, anger, fear, confusion, and you don’t have to face it alone. In our sessions, I offer a grounded, nonjudgmental space where we explore what’s arising in the moment. Together, we embark on a transformative journey towards healing and uncovering the guiding inner light that lives within you.

I believe that everyBODY knows how to heal. Your body has immense wisdom and the incredible capability to heal itself!

The light is within you! ☆
