I am an SEP and a multidisciplinary healer using a variety of mind-body modalities.  I am a licensed chiropractor (of Traditional and Non-force techniques) for over 30 years with additional certifications in Craniosacral/somato-emotional release Therapy (Dr.John Upledger) and Bioenergetic Synchronization Technique (Dr. Ted Morter), I completed the Training for Healers program (counseling, nutrition, and many other modalities) and advanced work at the Center for the Light in the Berkshires; Rebirthing/Loving Relationships Training (LRT) with Bob & Mallie Mandel in CT; Shaman's Eye - a Toolkit training with Rebecca Singer in Woodstock, NY; and the School of the Womanly Arts Mastery Program with Regena Thomashauer in NYC. Most recently I completed the Love Another Way training for co-dependency with Barbara Decker,  studied Somatic Resilience & Regulation with Kathy Kain & Steve Terrell, and completed Kathy's Somatic Skills Online yearlong training. In my early background I worked with older adults (homebound, in senior centers and in congregate settings) for 5 years and I trained student nurses and social workers to do home visits as a team. In addition to the long trainings I've completed I have proficiency in many styles of bodywork (trigger point therapy, energy holds, deep and light muscle work, glandular balancing, breathwork, exercises and stretches) and some systems of counseling (such as 'core belief' and imagery work). I have been meditating for 40+ years and have studied, practiced, and guided others in many styles of meditation. My knowledge of the body's expression of internal and physical issues greatly informs my approach in Somatic Experiencing sessions. Most importantly, I practice somatic awareness for myself daily and I am consistently in awe of the value of this work.
