I am a somatically oriented therapist and my psychotherapeutic work is informed through mindfulness based practices, yoga, Somatic Experiencing, and a spiritually oriented way of being. I work with trauma and post traumatic stress and growth, as well as substance abuse, anxiety and depression, and people in life transitions. I honor and respect various belief systems and religious/spiritual traditions and welcome diversity. I enjoy providing psychological support for people on a spiritual path, and work with both religious leaders and those who have suffered religious wounding. My work is also influenced by a grounding in a psychodynamic approach, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Reichian therapy, Gestalt, Yoga, and attachment based treatment. My approach is holistic, coming from a mind/body/spirit orientation, and I work with clients to help guide them into their most authentic self to find their own healing. I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. My work is based in the Asheville area for in person therapy, and I also provide sessions online and through Equine Therapy.
