Trish has extensive experience in helping clients as they move toward reclamation of their bodies and deep core selves. Her therapeutic frame is held from the top-down/bottom-up approach. She believes that it signifies wholeness and is a key healing container when working with any person who walks in for any type of therapeutic care.
Trish is a trauma specialist helping those suffering from relational traumas such as betrayal, infidelity, sex addiction, lack of intimacy, and lost trust. She interweaves many modalities in the healing of relational ruptures including unlocking the deeper somatic stories through Somatic Experience (SE) work, helping the couples identify and express them. She encourages SE touch into the coupleship so that it can energetically help the couple decrease the stuck protective patterns and open up a natural flow and authentic freedom, creating a safer bond that invites them to meet in shared vulnerability.
Another way Trish works with fragile relationships due to betrayal trauma and deceptive sexuality and trauma is to integrate Dr. Minwalla's Deceptive Sexuality and Trauma Treatment with Somatic Experiencing. She believes that in order to heal the split self, the altered-self, post-traumatic discovery, and the injured relationships that are fragmenting, it is critical to work at a deeper somatic level of affect regulation, adaptive survival strategies, and stabilization so that the whole body and its spaciousness can be the container to grieve, express, and heal.
At the other end of the spectrum of sexual health, her therapeutic lens is one of healthy sexuality as the client expresses it. She meets her clients at that point and assists them in the path toward identifying and freeing the authentic self and embodiment.
