Neurosomatic Facilitator, Yoga Therapy Intern

My scope of practice includes various neurosomatic and therapeutic movement modalities that integrate Somatic Experiencing as a Neurosomatic Facilitator and Trainer. Credentials in the last 25 yrs include Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Bio-Mechanics, Osteo-based Therapeutic Rehab as a Personal Trainer, Yoga Therapy Intern <em>(presenting clinical hours for C-IAYT designation)</em>, Poly-Vagal in Yoga Integration, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Oncology Yoga 4 Cancer, Yoga of 12-Step Recovery, Trauma Sensitive Meditation, Post-COVID Syndrome training to help people recognize and reconcile toxic stress and/or traumatic experiences.

My sessions include six trauma informed pillars:

<li>Invitational/inquiry language experiences</li>
<li>Present moment empowerment, embodied & safety practices</li>

Reopening for in-person sessions on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in addition to offering virtual sessions. Experience in somatic sensory disorders, anxiety/depression, Post COVID Syndrome, chronic illness, workplace toxic stress/trauma, in-patient psychiatric mental health, sport/rehabilitation traumas, and metabolic/autoimmune disorders in group or private sessions.

My approach is to provide a space for clients comfort to experience, rebuild, embody body-based breath, movement, and resilience. Practice coming back to their body in a safe and embodied process, and attain joy and vitality in their lives. Born and raised in Texas and professional work/volunteer in Western US, Canada, and Quintana Roo, Mexico. I am bilingual, and practice neurosomatics and therapeutic yoga as a yoga therapist intern alongside licensed mental health/medical professionals interested in referring Somatic Experiencing to their clients.
