Our bodies are storytellers. They retain and remember our lives through the sensations we have experienced. When life becomes overwhelming, whether from a specific event or exhaustion over time, we can enhance the healing process by tending to our body’s stories. In our work together, we will cultivate a space for you to engage these stories and learn embodied practices to begin aligning your mindset and your actions, paving the way for healing to occur. My hope is that you are able to find healing and more sustainable ways of leading the life you envision: connected to your self, community, and the earth.
I am a bi-racial, 1st generation Arab-American, bisexual, cisgender female therapist and coach, and I am passionate about supporting people on their healing journey. I am physically based in North Carolina and serve clients in NC and WA. I work with individuals from ages 18 and up. I focus on supporting BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) folks, those struggling with autoimmune disorders, and anyone interested in exploring their spirituality.
I am mindful of the ways environmental, systemic, and internalized oppressions from our varying identities impact our mental health and wellbeing, both on an individual and collective scale. As such, I offer reflection and connection on this in our work together. The specifics of the healing process are particular to the personality, and intersections of each person’s identity regarding: race, ethnicity, gender, culture, class, ability, education, sexual orientation, language, age, etc.
I'm looking forward to connecting!
