Healing is a delicate and powerful process of transformation that involves the emergence of an authentic autonomous self in the presence of an empathic other. Our work together will focus on the areas of your life that are inhibiting the power of your full potential. We all need our pain witnessed in an effort to move beyond where we feel stuck. Through compassion, active listening, challenging explorations and a space where vulnerability can be safe, I support my clients growth in an encouraging and straightforward approach.
I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBT clients and issues related to identity. Through mindful awareness, empathy and exploring our relationships to ourselves, our loved ones and our community, my hope is that we can uncover and move past our roadblocks.
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR Institute) and am a Diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I provide consultations on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and facilitate learning through Boston University's Graduate School of Social Work on-line division.
