Lynne Anne Salman

somatic therapist

My goal is to help people to free themselves from accumulated pain, fear, and stress. We develop a mutual healing relationship, engaging our courage, compassion, and curiosity. I use skilled touch, breathing, sensory awareness, dialogue and play to help adults and children recover from trauma and other problems in which physical and psychological factors are intertwined. (This includes physical, emotional or sexual abuse, injuries, invasive medical interventions, and chronic illness.) I also offer consultation to practitioners, and presentations to small groups. I have been working in the field of body-mind therapies and somatics since 1970, and trained with master teachers in Reichian/bioenergetic body-oriented therapy, psychology, holistic health and bodywork. For over ten years, I have studied with Kathy Kain, including membership in an on-going consultation group for advanced practitioners. In addition, I am a long-term practitioner of vipassana meditation, a singer, and a mother.
