Because trauma is the open wound we carry in the absence of an empathetic witness, we will make room for your story, allowing space for your voice to move freely as the wisdom you hold within your body guides our time. As a Traumatologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I provide embodied and evidence-based psychotherapy for those who have been affected by the silencing narrative of trauma—First Responders, Military, Frontline Health Workers, Indigenous Peoples—and those with experiences that are too much, too fast, and too soon.
With wonder for the beauty of the human condition and knowledge that the therapeutic relationship is more important than the therapy itself, my practice is collaboratively attuned. Inspired by your own life perspectives and capacity to heal, we will co-create a tailored and sound approach for your individual story.
As a PhD candidate, my awarded scholarship explores how improvised intrapersonal embodiment may help those shaped by postmemory and intergenerational trauma author creative narratives that lead to a greater understanding and awe of self. As best practice, I maintain clinical hours and receive supervision at a Toronto Trauma Centre.
