Melaney employs somatically based therapies (Yoga Therapy and Somatic Experiencing Technique) that focus on autonomic nervous system support and emotional self-regulation. Her focus is on building skills and confidence in her client’s capacity to establish states of greater inner peace, stability and clarity. This supports their capacity to heal and to act more consistently in alignment with their wellness goals.
As a long-time mindfulness meditation practitioner, and former facilitator of community consensus processes, Melaney infuses her therapeutic approach with the spirit of collaboration, compassionate self-awareness, and empowerment. Melaney primarily works individually or with small groups of people recovering from PTSD, anxiety/depression, trauma, substance abuse, chronic pain and symptoms related to chronic stress.
