Are you one of those people that even after doing a lot of work on yourself such as massages, chiropractic work, physical therapy, exercise, yoga, meditation and psychotherapy, you still have a great deal of emotional discomfort and physical stress?

Unfortunately, traditional therapy can at times miss the unspoken messages of what a person’s body and mind is yearning to have met. Needs that further can’t be met when therapy moves too fast for a person’s system to have “a voice” and/or a lack of attunement to some core needs during a session.

As a bodywork for over 30 years, I have helped many clients through difficult times of physical and emotional stress. What I kept noticing is that their stress holding would usually let go of its bracing during the session, only to return later when they went back to their life patterns. More often they came to me to "fix them” during a session. This gives the power to heal onto the practitioner rather than the belief that, under the right conditions and support, the body can heal itself. This is why client-practitioner collaboration, somatic education and a practice of slowing down what's happening are important aspects to this work. We will use Somatic Experiencing™ methods and somatic touch work to explore the root causes of one’s stress and allow time for the repair process to occur. This in return can build more capacity for greater resilience and regulation in your life.

Providing the right kind of somatic touch support is especially important for those that have experienced adversity in childhood. I am trained in Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell’s Somatic Resilience and Regulation Early Trauma, Touch Skills for Trauma Resolution and Aline LaPierre’s NeuroAffect Touch. Additionally training in Castellino's Perinatal birth therapy program.

I can effectively help build more resilience and regulation within your nervous system and provide attachment repair support for those that need it.

As a SE Body Oriented Specialist, I blend my formal SE training with 30 years of working with the body and years of clinical social work training. My clients share with me that they often experience of a deeper felt level of settling and well-being than they had before. When appropriate, I can also incorporate some integrative bodywork to further help the body to let go and unwind at a core level.

I'm available for in person, virtual or phone sessions. Also, I'm an approved SEI session provider for somatic experiencing students at all levels for personal sessions, individual case consultations and small group case consultation for credit towards certification. I offer SE student rates.

I welcome you to contact me to request a complimentary 20 minute exploratory call for me to understand you needs and to see if my services will best meet your needs.

Warmly yours; in good health.
