Nicholas F. Cimorelli

Psychotherapist

Attachment challenges, self-esteem issues, dissociation, and codependence...these patterns/experiences are often encountered with underlying physiological activation and trauma. I specialize in the treatment of addictive/compulsive behaviors associated with secondary responses to developmental and relational trauma. I offer individual psychotherapy as well as an eclectic model for couple facilitation integrating neuroscience and attachment theory with intra-psychic & interpersonal models for recovery. My background includes over two decades of clinical practice closely aligned with a dynamic process of exploration and research with regard to supporting emerging Transpersonal, Somatic and Vitalistic paradigms for Health & Wellness for 21st Century living.
Managing Complexity is at the heart of meeting the current challenges of today's lifestyles. Anxiety and depression, unchecked may compromise our capacity to access the vast innate intelligence, resilience and intuitive networks potentially available to us. Neurobiological models integrated with psychodynamic processes are central to my approach for healing.
Specialties include: Somatic Experiencing, EMDR-Reprocessing Therapy, and Brainspotting. My practice is diverse and my approach for individuals and couples is uniquely tailored to their needs and challenges. Session fees vary with regard to modality, i.e. couples facilitation vs. individual psychotherapy. I am not a panel provider, but offer insurance forms for Out-of-Network benefits.
